When snacking on chips and salsa, the salsa is usually never the unhealthy problem; it’s the chips. And I love chips… 🙂
Maria and I usually stick to gluten free brown rice chips whenever we can. We have a great simple recipe for homemade chips made out of brown rice tortillas. However, if we don’t have time to make them I usually grab organic, gluten free brown rice chips by Luke’s!
Then if we are going to talk salsa, this Strawberry Mango Salsa is a great summer app to bring to a party or serve while you’re hosting! It’s even good enough to just eat with a spoon… but where’s the fun in that?
Strawberry Mango Salsa
Ingredients
- 1 cup of chopped strawberries
- 1 cup of chopped mango
- 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
- 1 lime, for juice
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- Sea salt
Instructions
- Mix the lime juice and honey together in a small bowl.
- Pour over the strawberries, mango, and cilantro.
- Add a dash or to of sea salt and mix through.
- Serve with brown rice chips.
This is such a good idea! It’s a much healthier option as opposed to guacamole and nachos! 🙂
